The Zoom room opened promptly at 09:15 AM Eastern time (UTC -5) to the happiness and merriment of our members and guests.
ChairToast Trudi Y nimbly guided the meeting to its conclusion, and snagged our Award of Excellence along with Alex M, who served the meeting as Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA).
Our ThinkFast! master DTM Bibi A kept everyone on their toes by ensuring that everyone present received a ThinkFast! question.
Alex M used a memory palace to memorize the opening verses of The Man from Snowy River by Australian journalist and poet “Banjo” Paterson. Alex explained that according to the ancient orators Cicero and Quintilian (among others of that epoch), the faculty of memory is enhanced with location and symbolic imagery. Our speaker of the event was Trudi Y who entertained us with a speech of speculative fiction titled, She made me question the content of the letter. DTM Michel St. G our club president was Trudi’s content evaluator. Alex M served as Trudi’s delivery evaluator. Trudi’s advanced timer was none other than DTM Bibi A.
Trudi received gifts from every member of the audience, for they participate in the round-robin evaluation of every aspect of the meeting.
Our honoured guests were DTM Anton C and virtually travelling Toasty Todd G. We also welcomed first-time visitor Vaibhav S.
